Rodents and Pests

Creepy Crawly Bugs

Bugs like a nice home for the same basic reasons you do. They want food, water, and shelter. If they can find these in your house, they’ll move in. Bugs commonly found inside homes include ants, cockroaches, earwigs, firebrats, flies, house centipedes, silverfish, and spiders. Pet owners sometimes have to deal with fleas and ticks in the house. Each of these pests can show up at different times of the year, and some are more problematic in certain parts of the countries than others.

Wood Destroying Insects

As their name suggests, wood destroying insects are insects that damage wood by tunneling through it to live, nest, or feed. These destructive insects tend to be quite sneaky pests. Because of this, they can create enough damage to cause significant and costly repairs.

Your home is a warm inviting space for rodents such as rats, racoons and whatever else is crawling around out there. These creatures carry disease, and sometimes other pests with them. The damage they create, such as chewing on wiring could cause a fire which would completely destroy the home.

This is one of those situations where there's no need to sound the alarm if there is no sign of an infestation. During the basic home inspection we will look for signs of a bigger issue. Then we can make the call for a licensed professional to further evaluate only if needed. If requested, for an additional fee, an extensive inspection can be added on to be performed during the basic inspection.
